My third state to visit-Indiana!

Violet visited her third state-Indiana, to visit with Grandma Cathy, Grandpa Larry, Uncle Travis and soon-to-be Aunt Jessi. We had a great visit and got to celebrate Cathy's birthday and Shane's and my 6th anniversary. Violet spent her first night away from mommy and daddy. Grandma and Grandpa spoiled her while she was there. They got her a super cool hippo pool (see below). :) We are looking forward to another trip down in August for Travis and Jessi's wedding.

Happy Birthday, Cathy!

Lighting the candles was a team effort. :)

Breakfast at Grandpa's

Violet and I went to Grandpa Richard and Grandma Sharon's house for breakfast on Tuesday. We saw all their pretty flowers and gardens, played UpWords and had a yummy breakfast that Grandma Sharon made. Violet stuck to her bottle and carrots. The weather was a little too warm for a walk. We'll have to do that next time.

Girls Day at the Zoo

We had a wonderful "Girls Day" at the zoo. Melissa and Audrey Callahan went with Violet and I to the Zoo at Celebration Square in Saginaw. It's such a nice, well-kept zoo with quite a few animals and the gardens are beautiful. The weather was gorgeous. We ate lunch there by a pond with some ducks and got to see lots of animals like kangaroos, farm animals, otters, reptiles, penguins, and more. Violet had her first ride on a train and on the carousel, which she loved. The girls were both wearing their monkey attire (which was not planned. :) Great moms think alike?) I'm so glad we got to go. We'll have to do it again.

This is the life. :)

Audrey was a happy baby and so cute in her polka dot hat.

Our Trip to the Land of the Buckeyes

Shane had a very nice first Father's Day. He got to sleep in and relax. Violet was decked out in her "I love Daddy" onesie.

Violet and I went on our first trip without daddy this week to visit Grandma Sally and Grandpa Don in Ohio. We had a great trip. Violet was so good in the car for the 3 1/2 hour drive both ways. We had a nice visit and got to see Uncle Jon, and visit Great-Grandma and Great-Grandpa Edwards for the first time. We went to a t-ball game that Uncle Jon coaches and played in the pool. Violet got to hang out with some of our cousins and my step-sister, Cynthia's 2 month old baby, Bristol. We're back home now and waiting for daddy to come home from work. We missed him!

Bring on Summer!

Today we got to celebrate Father's Day a little early with my dad, grandpa, brother Mike and his wife Breanna. We went to the Bavarian Inn to eat, which was Violet's first. She was serenaded by the accordion player. After the visit, Shane came home and we were able to go swimming with Violet for the first time in our neighbor's pool. She really liked kicking around and looked so cute with her bathing suit and sunglasses. I hope we can go again tomorrow! :)

Violet is sixth months old now. She has learned how to stay sitting on her own. We're having fun this summer so far. She was in the Kinder Parade with me last Saturday. We went to the doctor yesterday and her measurements are: 17lbs. 14 oz. (75th percentile) and 90th percentile for height. She's going to take after her daddy and be tall. :)
