This weekend Shane and I went on our first whole weekend away from Violet. Shane's mom and dad stayed at our house. We had a very nice weekend enjoying the island. The ferry ride over was a bit rough with 40 mph winds. The ride back was much smoother. We stayed at Inn at Stonecliff which was almost 2 miles outside of town. We took a horse drawn buggy to and from the Inn. We walked A LOT, went horseback riding, road all the way around the island (8 miles) on a tandem bike, went to the butterfly house, and I even got a chance to talk to Mike Rowe from Dirty Jobs, while riding on my horse, Teddy. The weather was very chilly, but the fall colors were beautiful. It's a great place to visit.
