Violet Visits Great-Grandpa Patton

After church today we drove down to Shelby Twp. to see Great-Grandpa Patton. Violet was happy and smiley through our visit. She's home now and back to her bouncing in the jumperoo.

Bouncing Baby

Check out this video. This crazy bouncing went on and on. She loves her jumperoo.... so smiley. :)

Violet's First Swim

Today the temperatures were closing in on 90 degrees. Shane filled the turtle pool in the morning and by the afternoon the water was like bath water temp. Violet got to swim for the first time in her cushy green pool on the back deck. She enjoyed it and stayed in for quite awhile. Grandpa Larry got it on video too. Look out summer, here we come! :)

My 1st Mother's Day!

I had a wonderful day today. I found a special card from Violet in her crib when I got her up this morning. (I think Daddy helped a little. :) ) We went to church and then to brunch with family at the Pine Knob Carriage House. I came home, took a nap, and got to cuddle with little Violet. Shane did the dishes and made dinner... the best Mother's Day I could ask for. Happy Mother's Day to all you moms out there.

Where's Violet?

This "E.T. inspired" photo was taken last weekend. Violet smiled and I caught it with my phone at the right second. She's a happy girl. :)

Violet's First Easter

Grandpa Richard always has to have "Keyboard Time" with Violet.

Great-Grandpa Colley and me

Violet had a busy and fun-filled Easter weekend. Grandma Cathy came on the Sunday before and spent the week with her while Mommy and Daddy were at work. Great-Grandma Speed came later in the week and Grandpa Larry joined us on Thursday. We went to Grandpa Richard and Grandma Sharon's house on Good Friday for an Easter dinner and had a good time there with family. On Saturday we dyed Easter eggs and on Sunday we went to church in the morning then to Great-Grandma and Grandpa Colley's house in the afternoon for a family dinner. Violet looked very pretty in her purple polka dot dress. It was a wonderful Easter. We are very blessed.

Bunnies and Baths

I made it through another bath.
I like my froggy towel.
Marcia took this picture before we headed out to see the Bunny. I can explain the overalls. It was "Dress like a book character" day at school and I was Farmer Brown from, "Click Clack Moo". I wish I was wearing something else, though. It would've made a really nice picture.
"Look at my beautiful tongue!"
"Dinner time!"
Violet's first visit to the Easter Bunny at Bronner's
"Who's holding me, or should I say, WHAT is holding me?" :)

Bath time is getting much easier with Violet. She enjoys baths more and likes her hooded towels. We took Violet to see the Easter Bunny at Bronner's. She was content through it and we took a few cute pics of the experience. We're looking forward to her first Easter.
